Mashing is the brewer’s term for the hot water steeping process which hydrates the barley, activates the malt enzymes, and converts the grain starches into fermentable sugars… Yeast literally eat these sugars producing the Alcohol content we all enjoy in our Beer. Additionally, yeast contribute greatly to the final flavor of beer.
“MashTalking” is about our love of all things Beer from home brewing it, drinking it and sharing anything related to it… from finding the latest craft brewed creation to brewery tours to finding a great place to have a Pint or two (as long as your are not driving).
Cheers!
